Jocelyn first traveled to Haiti in 2007 through a volunteer trip with the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation. She was joined by her eldest daughter who was a Junior in High School. Some months later she returned with her husband, a physician, and her two other children and they quickly became committed as a family, traveling frequently to Saint Rock. “As my first trip to Haiti was coming to an end I knew that I would be back. I felt a part of me changed that week in, not only the way I viewed the world but how I thought I could better live my life. Being witness to such abject poverty and lack of basic necessities, in particular health care, would serve to keep me moving forward in my desire to also be a witness to change”

Jocelyn has been working in the field of Primary Care as an adult nurse practitioner for 19 years. Prior to becoming an NP she worked as a registered nurse in oncology and then as a research nurse in HIV-related cancers. She has served as adjunct faculty for nurse practitioner students and utilizes her skills doing research on global immersion experiences and caring for patients in rural Haiti.

Jocelyn joined the SRHF Board of Directors in 2012, becoming the Chair of the board from 2013 until 2018. In August of 2018, she was hired as the first CEO & President of the foundation. She is involved in overseeing US operations with the US staff and board as well as Haitian operations alongside Medical Director, Dr. Jean Kenes Eloy and the Haitian staff.

Jocelyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Boston College, a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Northeastern University.

When not practicing medicine in private practice in the US, working for the foundation, or traveling to Haiti, Jocelyn loves spending time with her friends and family, hiking in the Blue Hills, and thinking about how she can become a better cook.
