Bruce L. Ring, MD, FACP
After several years teaching Brown University medical students and residents, Bruce has practiced as a primary care Internal Medicine physician in the Brockton area for 40 years.
Along with his son, he first visited Haiti shortly after the earthquake in 2010, working in a MASH type hospital setting. Moved by the experience, he has been volunteering at St Rock yearly.
Bruce earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University and an MD degree also from Cornell University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at University and Boston City Hospitals. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
He has chaired multiple local hospital committees and has served as president of the Medical Staff. Along with his wife (a pediatric nurse practitioner), he cared for Ukrainian refugees on the Polish border and taught primary care in the Middle East. He is the current co-chair of the Medical Practice Committee.
Bruce considers collaborating with his wife and local Haitian physicians in delivering care, sharing the trips with his two sons, and introducing portable ultrasound to St Rock among his most enjoyable professional accomplishments.
