Amy K. Veale, MD, FACP
Amy is an Internal Medicine physician with over 30 years experience in patient care. She currently works for the Department of Defense and volunteers for Boston area organizations providing medical care and health education to women and adolescents facing housing insecurity and to families experiencing domestic violence. She has a particular interest in medical and psychosocial issues affecting women.
Prior to the pandemic she travelled to Haiti with the SRHF on several occasions and to the Dominican Republic aiding in the establishment of a remote clinic and in providing health care. Her experiences with the US and Haitian staff of the SRHF and with the welcoming, kind, and resilient men, women and children of St. Rock have solidified her desire to raise awareness of and become more involved in the work of the SRHF.
Amy attended Creighton University, Boston University School of Medicine, completed her residency at Miriam Hospital/Brown University and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Amy enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, Pilates, and singing in her church choir.
