Linda Hooley

Linda grew up in California and graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Journalism. Sje worked for ARCO on the ‘Drive for Conservation’ during the early 80’s gas crisis, then for 8 years at AT&T in Sales and Sales Management, before ‘retiring’ to raise her family.

She traveled to Haiti in May 2018 and it was life-changing. She could never have imagined the level of poverty in Haiti and the difficulty of its residents to secure basic needs like water, electricity, and health care. What struck her was the joy of the children and the need to educate as many of the young people as possible. She continues to be inspired by the work of everyone on the ground here in the US and in Haiti. She joined the Education Committee upon her return to help with the revitalization of the Scholarship program to reach and keep as many students in school as possible. She looks forward to seeing the new clinic become a reality in the future.

She has served on the Thayer Academy Board of Trustees, Womanade of the South Shore, Boys and Girls Club of Boston, and the Hingham Food Pantry.
