Hope first traveled to Haiti in 2007 as a Junior in High School and as a volunteer with the Saint Rock Haiti Foundation. This would be the first of many weeks she would spend in Saint Rock, eventually encouraging friends, family, and colleagues to join her. This experience also led her to volunteer opportunities in Romania and South Africa and inspired her to pursue a master’s degree in Social Work.
As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Hope works as a Behavior Health Clinician for the Mental Health Service Corps in New York City, where she specializes in child and adolescent mental health. Hope uses her skills to work with the SRHF Centre de Sante Mental Health coordinator and clinical staff to help increase the ability to diagnose and treat mental illness in the Saint Rock community.
Hope has been a member of the SRHF board of directors since 2013 and serves as the chair of the Mental Health sub-committee. She was also instrumental in designing and implementing the first SRHF website. She has now passed that duty on to her fiancé Agbi who has worked alongside his company Redstage to develop the foundation’s new website.
When Hope is not providing behavioral health care or volunteering for the foundation she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, watching documentaries, and crafting.
