Dear Friends,

The Saint Rock Haiti Foundation has had the privilege of providing health care and ever-expanding community outreach programs to a cluster of communities in the foothills just southwest of Port-au-Prince for more than 15 years. With each year comes new challenges, but we continue to meet them head-on and with resolve. This year was no different and the triumphs stand clear.
With your support, we were able to care for a record number of medical and dental patients in urgent need of treatment. As further evidence of our expanding role in this area, we were overwhelmed by the number of community members who came to us for help with disease prevention. We continue to work hard training our clinic staff, Community Health Workers, and mobile clinic team to recognize signs of health problems early before they become too complicated to correct. One of our principal tenets is that the community outreach programs focus on the whole person in promoting overall wellness.

Working in tandem with SRHF’s many outreach programs is our ongoing educational efforts. Through a partnership with Universite Quisqueya, our teachers are now being trained on the most effective methods of educating their students resulting in more children and young adults attending university and vocational training.

The progress is palpable! Although there is still much work to be done, we remain steadfast in our partnership with our Haitian colleagues and with you to assure that these critically important efforts continue well into the future.
