Gay has focused both her professional and volunteer work serving the public sector as well as nonprofit organizations. For the past 20 years, while raising her family, she held volunteer positions at The Derryfield School (Trustee, alum), the Parent Connection (Treasurer), the Duxbury Education Foundation (Chair), the Town of Duxbury Finance Committee (appointed Member), the Town of Duxbury Government Study Committee (Chair), the Duxbury Yacht Club (Board Member, Finance Committee) and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts Associates (Treasurer). Prior to these efforts Gay worked for about 15 years in investment banking as a Vice President in Public Finance for Prudential Securities in New York and State Street Bank and Trust Company in Boston. She began her career as a social worker in juvenile justice.
Gay is a graduate of Colby College (BA in French and Psychology) and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business (MBA in Finance and Not-for-Profit Management).
