The Micro Loan Program

The Micro Loan program is designed to combat hopelessness, hunger, unemployment among other things in the area of Saint Rock Haiti.  The program makes small loans primarily to women to help them start small businesses.  with these businesses, women are able to feed their children, send them to school and clothe them.

This program gives women some measure of independence and goes a long way toward combating famine, illiteracy and indirectly fighting diseases among women in the community.

The loans are usually made in small amounts of about $500.00 (Haitian dollars) at very attractive rates that these women can't get anywhere else.  These women do not qualify for loans at commercial banks or other loan institutions.  These loans to these women are a god sent and represents a real hope for them to emerge out of deep poverty and despair.
